Not Your Last Supper but Your Best

There have been many great meals celebrated in history. The one that poisoned Lucretia Borgia for instance. Well, maybe not that one.
But think of the first Thanksgiving meal of the pilgrims; the first sandwich invented by the Earl of Sandwich, then of course there’s Meals on Wheels and TV dinners. All renowned repasts.
But none are as brilliant and distinguished as the table set the week of July 4 by our own chef Gianni Audieri (pictured above) for our esteemed clientele.
Here we see the great one commanding center stage from the long banquet table filled with his ruffian friends; apologies to Leonardo da Vinci.
He is telling them, “Go forth and tell your wives and children to join us at the Fior d’Italia on the week of July 4. We are celebrating Independence Day with a fantastic set course dinner.”
The Pranzo Meal consisted of five courses: appetizer, Caesar salad, trecolori pasta, and an entrée of fish beef and veal. Dessert, of course! Set price: $100 apiece.
George Washington sent his regrets. Alas.
