NO FIRE, JUST FIREMEN

Firefighters tumbled into the main dining room of the Fior d’Italia on September 20 but this time not to quench any flames. They were enjoying the wedding rehearsal dinner of Marc Kasper and his bride Carla Cirelli.

Both are firefighter paramedics with the San Francisco Fire Department and San Francisco natives.

“There were a lot of firemen there,” Victoria noticed.

Must have been because 53 people dined that night.

Marc’s Aunt Sue Dudley called the event “a superb dinner party. It was a wond and erful prelude to the enchanted evening wedding we celebrated the following Saturday” when the couple married at Mission Dolores.

Marc’s mother Victoria Murphy who lives in Burlingame observed that this was really an Italian wedding since Marc is one-half of a good Italian boy and Carla’s family is Italian also. The Fior d’Italia was a family tradition for Victoria.

“My father used to go to the restaurant couple times a week during the ‘60s. I went to the restaurant when it was still at Washington Square about five years ago for a reunion of the St. Rose Academy,” she recollected.

The newlyweds live in San Bruno.
